When it comes to communication between different organizations or businesses, the most formal and reliable way is to send emails. To make your brand stand out and look authentic, all official communication should come from custom email addresses that contain your business’ domain—for instance, [email protected]. You can get started by creating a domain for your business and then setting up custom email addresses in your domain.
Why is a custom domain email address good for your business?

Simple steps to get you going
1. Register a Zoho Mail account
First, please visit the registration page here .
Scroll down and press the SIGN UP NOW button in FOREVER FREE PLAN .
Next, enter the necessary information and click PROCEED
2. Verify the domain name
On the next page, you will have to immediately claim ownership of the domain.
The list of Domain’s DNS Manager provided by Zoho already has a number of well-known domain name providers like GoDaddy , 1 & 1 , Name.com , Wix … You just need to click on it and follow the simple instructions.
I choose the harder way, choose Others ..
We have 3 ways to confirm a domain name with Zoho, they are:
- CNAME Method : Use the CNAME record
- TXT Method : Use TXT record
- HTML Method : upload a .html file to hosting
Anyway, I have to update DNS, so I will choose method 2, create a CNAME record with Name

Wait a while for the domain name to finish updating the record, press the Verify by CNAME button to finish.
3. Configure User and Group
If verify is successful you will receive the following notification immediately:
Click the Create Account button to create a mailbox
On the next page, if you do not want to create more users, click the Next / Skip button to continue.
In the next step, Create Groups you also press the Next / Skip button to continue.
4. Configure Zoho mail reception
Configure Email Delivery is the most important step, configuring the domain name to be able to receive incoming mail.
Still in the DNS configuration page of the domain name manipulated from step 2, you add the following 2 MX records to be able to receive incoming mail.
Please delete all MX records if any before adding offline.
Create easy to remember login link
Zoho Mail supports Custom Login URL so you can login and check mail more easily.
Still in the DNS management page, create a CNAME record named
business.zoho.comthat you can use the path
mail.domain.com to login.
Configure SPF and DKIM
If you want outgoing email to not be transferred to Spam, you need to configure additional SPF and DKIM for the domain name. Although not included in the installation steps, Zoho Mail strongly recommends that all users configure additional SPF and DKIM records .
On the DNS configuration page, add a TXT record with Name
@ and Value as

Wait for a while for the domain name to finish updating the entire record, click the Next button to go to the next step. Finally, press the Proceed to Access ZohoMail button to complete the installation and go to the mail box.

5. Create additional email for the domain name Zoho Mail
If you want to create more email for the domain name at Zoho Mail, in the main mail box [email protected] , click the Settings icon with the gear in the top right corner, select Control Panel .
6. Tips to use Zoho Mail
If you want your incoming email to be automatically forwarded to another email address, please refer to this tutorial link .
To create a default email, automatically move mail to this address when it is sent to an email address that does not exist (the Catch All function), click the Settings icon with a gear image, select Control Panel . Next select Org Settings , Catch All , Add Catch All and enter the email address you want to use.
